During the summer months, the Sooke
Potholes Park, recently acquired by The Land
Conservancy, offers wonderful fresh water swimming
opportunities. After sunbathing on the sun baked rock
formations of the various potholes, take a refreshing
dip in the cool, pristine mountain water. The Park also
offers wonderful hiking trails, and is accessible by the Galloping Goose Trail on bike or on foot. Car access
is also available, but parking (at $ 2.00 per day) is
limited, and is offered only on the first 1 km of the
5 km park road.
Outside the summer season, or on colder days,
the Sooke SEAPARC Swimming Pool also offers an
excellent swimming venue. The pool is open 7 days per
