The Sooke Harbour Farm is part of the original Sooke Harbour House property/acreage which was originally owned by Mr.Kohout. Sooke Harbour House will be growing organically berries, fruit, vegetables and herbs to help sustain the restaurant’s kitchen. This is in keeping with the Sooke Harbour House’s sustainable and local philosophy. The farm will be a production and educational farm where tours and workshops will be held for community and guests of the hotel. The farm cottage is one of the last remaining buildings of the original camp property and it now houses workers who come to participate in the international WWOOFer program.

We want to bring peoples’ awareness back to the land and the food they eat. We have lost our understanding and relationship with what sustains us and builds our health. Part of our goal is to bring that understanding back and inspire others to plant and grow, even if it’s one container at a time.
