My paintings are abstract landscapes done in collage and acrylics. Collage is exciting because I feel unlimited in what to use to make a painting rich in pattern, colour and texture.
“I apply paper and other material to stretched canvas, then pour, roll, sponge, brush and drag acrylic paint over this textured, gessoed surface. Stencils, printing blocks, monotypes, rubbings and hand-painted papers are sometimes added. A coat of varnish is applied to protect and enhance the beauty of each piece.
“Interest in archaeology, architecture and Buddhism have influenced my work.”
