Since art school in the late 70’s, I have been enamoured with the work of Emily Carr and the Group of Seven. Later I discovered other painters of that era, (1920 -40) – Thomas Hart Benton in America, and Tamara de Lempicka in Europe. Their influences can be seen in my work.
