Kimiko specializes in the medium of Nihonga, traditional Japanese painting. Instead of oils, the Nihonga artist uses powdered, organic mineral pigments that are bound to Japanese parchment with a natural glue. Kimiko prefers floral subjects but has also done extensive work in landscape and figures.
